Storing Your Logs

November 21, 2008

We have had a fantastic response to our wood crates that we now sell.  They hold one of our bins of logs and are our old system of drying the logs.  We have now moved onto a larger storage and drying system hence that these bins are now for sale.  They are a really solid storage unit and can be delivered along with your order of wood. They are a great way to allow air to circulate around the logs but containing them within a small area (see our website www.barndriedlogs.co.uk for  sizes)  keeping them in ideal condition.  The better the logs are stored the more heat they will give back to you!

Rising Fuel Bills!

August 21, 2008

With another announcement today that gas and electricity are going up by 26% & 16% more and more people are turning to an alternative fuel to heat their homes.  We have noticed over our normally quiet time of year, summer, that we have had three fold of enquires for logs to be delivered.   Logs are a relatively cheap form of heating and with a little planning, are very easy to use,  along with helping the environment logs are a great eco fuel

Logs, A Renewable Fuel

June 12, 2008

Wood is an excellent fuel and by far the cheapest and most commonly available.  Wood can help supplement your heating, when burnt in a modern effective wood burning stove.  It is clean economical, and above all it is a renewable fuel.  By switching to a sustainable energy fuel like wood you can reduce your carbon foot print and help lower the green house gasses.
